CAMP RCA
Camp RCA will involve both the Middle School and Varsity Football Teams. Players will report to Riverside Christian Academy at 2:30pm on Thursday, July 31st. Players will arrive on Thursday and stay at the school until Saturday, August 2nd, until 3pm. We will practice all three days in shorts, T-shirts, and helmets. This will act as our pre-season practice camp and will focus on learning plays, conditioning, drills, devotional time, and character building activities. We know that parents have given the coaches at RCA a sacred trust in working with their children and we take that very serious. We want this to be a time that the athletes will remember in which they became better players, teammates, and leaders. The children will be supervised at all times and they will receive proper hydration, rest periods, and nutrition. With your cooperation we will be able to have a wonderful camp and a time to build our team for the upcoming season.
Each athlete should bring the following to Camp:
-Cleats and running shoes
-Toiletries- (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, soap, deodorant)
-2 towels
-sleeping bag
-blanket
-pillow
-three changes of workout type clothing and clean clothing to sleep in
-any medical info or allergy info to turn in to team doctor
- Sunblock
- notebook with a pen or pencil

Practice Schedules for August 4th – August 7th
Practice in Full pads will begin on Monday, August 4th, at RCA. All football players should be at the school for pre-practice meetings and workouts at 2:30 pm. Practice will begin at 4pm and go until 7pm. Wednesday practice will begin at 3:30 and end at 5:30 to allow time for all of our young men to attend Church services. On Thursday, August 6th, practice will begin at the conclusion of school and end at 7pm.
Friday, August 8th, we will participate in a scrimmage game at Mt. Juliet Christian. The scrimmage will begin at 6pm and will be a round robin format involving RCA, Mt. Juliet Christian, and Pickett Co. When school starts all practices will generally begin after school and end at 6:30pm except for Wednesday evenings.
