Camp Details

We'll meet at RCA at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 26 to pack the bus and go to Camp Joy.  This is a football camp for the RCA Middle School and High School football teams.  We will stay Monday and Tuesday night and return on Wednesday.  We'll try to be back at the school to be picked up around noon on Wednesday.

Players need their football gear (including cleats), a few changes of shorts/tee shirts, shoes to run in (tennis shoes), several changes of socks and underwear, towels and toiletries, bed linens or sleeping bag, notepad or something to take notes on.  The guys can also bring snacks if they desire.  Players should not bring cell phones.  Other electrical devices are taken at their own risk.  This will be a time of INTENSE practice and team unity.

Cost for the camp will be $75 per player.  Please get that turned in as soon as you can.  Make checks out to Riverside Christian Academy and put "football camp" in the memo.

We still need some parents to volunteer to help staff the kitchen at camp.  I'd like to see at least four volunteers per meal.  The volunteer would cook the meal (groceries will be there and the menu will be planned), help serve the boys, and clean the kitchen area.

I will try to get a sign up sheet on-line.  Check back over the next day or so and see if I get it up and going.  Until then, email me if you would like to volunteer.  We will have lunch and supper on Monday, all three meals on Tuesday, and breakfast on Wednesday.  I'd like the breakfast served at 8:00, lunch served at 1:00 and supper at 6:00.  If anyone knows a grocer or restaurant that wants to donate food or services, let us know!
