Camp JOY, Here We Come!

See you guys at 10:00 AM tomorrow!  We'll load the bus and head off to camp!  After a quick inspection of the camp today, it looks like it will be almost perfect for what we need.  It is NOT air-conditioned though.  Some of you may want to bring fans.  The cabins were much cooler than outside and that's with the windows shut.  With a few fans in windows, they should cool down fine.  Don't forget to bring plenty of changes of underwear and socks, a couple of changes of shorts and t-shirts, some running shoes, all football gear, cleats, towels and toiletries, linens or sleeping bag, snacks (we have some already), notepad or something to take notes on, maybe some sunscreen, maybe a roll of toilet paper (there's some up there, but it never hurts to be prepared).  Leave at home your cell phones, shaving cream and other camp "novelties", and items of high value that could be broken or lost.

Thank you volunteers for helping in the kitchen!  We still have room for more to help.  See postings below for links to sign up!  Directions to the camp for our volunteers are here.  After looking at the kitchen, I think everything we need is there as far as pots, pans, utensils, etc.  We just need you to come help get it all together!  As a general rule, if you get there an hour and a half to an hour prior to meal time, I think you'll have time to prepare.  We don't mind waiting a little if it's running a little late, we just appreciate the help!
