This week I'm feeling quite a bit different from last week. We didn't even come close to playing up to our potential. I understand "you can't win them all", and we are bound to come up against better teams from time to time. Friday night may have been one of those times, but to be honest, it's hard to tell with the way we played. Our opponent was really, really good, and I don't want to take away from that. But, I can't help but feel like we made them look much better than they were. While many Knights played their hearts out and came ready, there were also several that just weren't into the game and seemed distracted. Overall, we just aren't going to compete well in football if we don't compete as a unified team. All of us have to be mentally prepared and set to put our best efforts on the field every time if we are to be successful. We do what we do to glorify God! Our talents are for His pleasure. We don't want to give a half-hearted effort. I don't want to see us distracted, scared, or apathetic. Instead we should be focused, intense, playing hard, and having a blast doing it!
A person can take a defeat and let it consume them, overrun them, even destroy them. Or a person can take a defeat, learn from it, improve, and look forward to the next chance to compete. This last loss is behind us! It's time to learn from it, improve, and I am very much looking forward to the next Friday Knight!

Rise up, Knights!
