I just realized that I didn't post a "Friday Knight" following last week's game! Oops! Even though it's late, I thought I'd still put some thoughts out there before tonight's game. Last week we were successful in playing "by the down" as I encouraged the kids to do. I saw a lot of effort and our kids played hard and had fun! That's what it's all about! Unfortunately, we lost big, but we did get better and I'm seeing progress. Our mental state is coming along nicely and we're solidifying the foundation to build a great program on! I left the game disappointed by the loss (I hate to lose), but encouraged by the class and effort our guys continue to display.
See you at the game!.....Oh, almost forgot....I'd like to invite everyone to participate in reciting the 23rd Psalm with us! The boys recite a line after each static stretch on the field at warm-ups every game (we do it in practice every day too). We line up for dynamic stretches about 45 minutes before kickoff, then go right into our static stretching and Psalm 23 (about 40 minutes before game time). We'd love it if our crowd was there before the game and joined us. It would make a great Knight tradition and a great statement about RCA! Just watch for us to spread out on the field for our static stretching and listen to the cues given by a coach and after the whistle, clap then say the line!
Until the next Friday Knight!
