Here's some summer information for your summer planning purposes:
There will be scheduled weight training/conditioning from the end of school until June 24 or so.
I haven't set days and times for these summer workouts yet, but they will likely be similar to last summer. I hope everyone remembers the lessons we learned during the season regarding strength and how important the weight room is to our success!
There is a "dead period" from June 26 to July 9 in which there can be no contact between coaches and players. I encourage you to use this time for family vacations, trips, etc.
From July 10 until July 31, we are allowed 15 practices (no pads), 10 of which can involve competition with other schools (7-on-7). So during that time, we will have some 7-on-7 (yet to be scheduled) and we will have some orgainized practice dates. One of those orgainized practice dates is likely to be on or around July 11 to prepare us for 7-on-7 later in the month. The last week of July (25 through 30) will also be a good candidate for other practice dates and/or maybe CAMP JOY!
Full fall practice begins for High School according to TSSAA rules on August 1. For Middle School, we will likely start practice during that last week of July (we are not a TMSAA member and not subject to those rules) - and as I said, that week may include CAMP.
