RCA JR. PRO FOOTBALL CAMP SET FOR JUNE
Riverside Christian Academy’s varsity football coach, Daniel Beard, has announced that the Knights’ football mini camp for Jr. Pro age children will take place in June. The dates are Thursday through Saturday, June 9-11, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The camp will take place at RCA and will cover essential football skills and speed and agility training.
RCA will provide lunch for all football camp participants on the last day of the mini camp. The coordinators of the camp are also hosting a free parent seminar on Saturday after lunch from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The seminar will cover how to train Jr. Pro age children for strength and speed and effective nutrition.
Jr. Pro age children are those who will be in the third-, fourth-, or fifth-grade in the 2011-2012 school year. The camp is open to the public; it is not only for RCA students or Jr. Pro team members. Campers can register by mailing a check to RCA (P.O. Box 617, Fayetteville, TN 37334). Please be sure to write “Jr. Pro Mini Camp” in the memo line, and include the parents’ names, camper’s name, contact information, and camper’s t-shirt size. All campers pre-registered by Wednesday, June 1 will receive a t-shirt on the last day of camp.
Parents can also pick up registration forms for children to play on RCA’s Jr. Pro teams this Fall in the RCA office on Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. These forms are due by July 15.

It's difficult to balance the newest training research with our time, needs, and availability to get the best results so our kids can be competitive and healthy throughout the season. After a lot of research, reading, and talking with experts from professional, olympic, collegiate, and high school sports training, I have developed this routine. This routine has the warm-up included. The whole of this particular workout is to maximize explosive strength and speed. It is what we will do on our Tuesday/Thursday workouts this summer. I'll continue to research training methods and results and change our workouts to get the best out of our kids! Please understand that this is collected from a lot of other coaches' and researchers' work.
