Varsity Football

After prayerful consideration, we have elected to enter into a new era in RCA football!  We are very excited about the new opportunities that are presented as we move into 8-man football!  While this year's middle school schedule will remain unchanged and they will continue to compete in 11-man football for 2012, the high school team will have a new schedule competing with other 8-man teams this year.  This was a very difficult and careful decision.  8-man football is a very exciting spin on the familiar 11-man variety that we are all accustomed to.  It is still football!  The fundamentals are the same, the rules are mostly the same, the same contact, the same speed, the same fun and thrills!  The difference is 3 less players on the field....which alters game-play strategy slightly.  From all reports, it is a lot of fun!  Scores tend to be higher, and games tend to go by faster.  It will be a learning process, but we feel like this is a great opportunity to not just be competitive, but to WIN!  And not just win, but go after championships!  More details will be coming soon!
