I hope the Summer is treating you all well. It's been a great year for our workouts. I've seen the boys grow, get stronger, & faster this year. Can't wait to see how their work has paid off! Just a few reminders and announcements:
1. I will have the physical forms and the fence sign forms ready to be sent home this evening. For those who will be able to make Saturday's opportunity be sure to have as much of the forms filled out as possible before then. A big thanks to Dr. Sain & Dr. Trahin for helping with those Saturday at 9 AM at Dr. Sain's office. The cost will be a $20 donation to the football program. For those of you wondering about a possible make-up date, I'll have to talk to Dr. Sain when he gets back from his mission trip later this week. I hope to get you a list of businesses who have purchased a baseball fence sign in the next day or so. We don't want to ask the same people over and over again.
2. Monday night we will have our 2nd annual "Knight Monday" beginning at 5:30 PM. We will be Maxing and giving out equipment. I'll try to get the schedule for "Knight Monday" more organized and back to you asap.
3. Starting Tuesday (July 29th) at 5:30 PM we will practice till 8 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays through August 5th. During these dates please plan any appointments for Wednesday if at all possible. These practices are vital for any of our players but especially the young guys!
4. Starting Thursday August 7th, we will practice from the end of school until 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday except on the day before a game & game day. After August 7th, please make appointments for the day before the game (Varsity will be done by 4 on these days).
5. Our first varsity game was originally scheduled to be AT Hendersonville on August 15th. It is now scheduled to be at Knights Stadium at 6 PM.
6. We are blessed to be able to have a wonderful field house! I believe we must take care of the nice things we have so the LORD will bless us with more. Starting with fall practice on July 29th we will have a clean-up schedule with different chores for the boys in keeping it looking nice. I'll post this in the field house and also try to email the schedule to you.
7. We are very excited about the return of our Jr. Pro Football program this year. I believe this will give us a great advantage in the future plus can be a generator of funds. Thanks to our awesome reps at the league meeting we will be hosting the league jamboree on Saturday August 16th! Please mark this on your calendar, to make this happen we will need help from our entire program so I will be putting a schedule together for everyone to help in some way leading up to or on that Saturday. If there is a better time for you to participate than others please, let me know and I'll do my best to honor it.
8. Along those same lines we will need help painting the field and working concessions throughout the season as well. I'll be putting that schedule together soon as well. As usual, I'll do my best to schedule it in a way that no one misses their son playing.
