Missing practice of course should be held to a minimum. Obviously there are things that come up throughout the season that might require a missed practice. Except in the case of an emergency a missed practice will result in accountability reps of 10 gasser runs. Beginning the first game week (August 11th), each absence from practice will result in sitting out 1 quarter in the game that week on top of the 10 gasser runs. When the guys miss a practice that is a full day of preparation so the more they miss the less prepared they are for the game. It's not fair for those guys who were present and did prepare to sit out or be held back from getting their chance. If a player is late and misses a portion of practice, depending on the reason and amount of time missed will determine the course of action. Being their for a part of practice is better than missing all of it.
Wanted to take this opportunity to announce and congratulate our first ever permanent Captains. Seniors Glenn Hammons and Seth Finch will serve as our Captains in every game this year. Our other Seniors will rotate as Captains alongside these guys throughout the season. We've got some great leadership this year and I'm very thankful for it!
For our Middle School/9th Grade parents the schedule has changed. Franklin Classical had to cancel their games with us due to low numbers on their middle school team but we were able to pick up two games against Pleasant View Christian School. They will be at our place on Tuesday August 26th at 6 PM
and we will travel to play them on Tuesday Sept. 2 at 4 PM.
