It's amazing that we are almost to game week. I'm super excited for these guys because of their hard work all Summer! Here are a few details for the upcoming week (I apologize for the length ahead of time):
I'm currently in need of a score board operator, either for both middle and high school or one for each. You'll get in to the games you work for free and should have one of the best seats in the house. Of course, we will show you how to work it.
I was approached by Coach Wood (one of our Jr. Pro coaches) about having a scrimmage on Friday between our 6th grade players and their Jr. Pro team. I thought it would be a great idea to get both teams some more experience. The issue is that starting tomorrow we will practice from 3:15-5:30 and they will practice from 5:30-7. So if possible we'd like our 6th grade guys and maybe some of our inexperienced 7th graders to possibly hang around until 6 on Friday. Just let me know if your son would be available.
On a similar note, as we approach game week (for the first time for many) the coaches and I met yesterday and we would like to practice on Saturday from 8:30-10:30 AM. Obviously since that is short notice we know that some may have plans already or may have to work. But if your son is available (even if part of the time) we need to have them. This is not something that we do on a regular basis as I don't like to do things on short notice but we feel like it would be beneficial. Just let me know via email if your son can attend or not. I've heard back from several of you about getting fence signs for the football field. I'm excited about our sponsors this year! To get their signs up on the field by next Friday night I really need those forms along with their logos & money by this coming Friday if possible. Just let me know if you have any questions.
I also need anyone's physicals and parent consent forms before they can play in their upcoming games this week.
I'd like to have a quick 30 minute meeting Monday night following practice with you just to handle any last minute details or questions you may have.
