Workout Calendar and Spring Football Reminder

Just a few reminders:

Mark your calendars to help in some way the week of or on Saturday May 2nd for the flag football tournament. We will need field painters, referees, clock keepers, score keepers, first aid & concession workers. We would also love to have your church compete. We only have 3 spots left and final rosters are due Friday April 24th. To lock down a spot just have your youth director send me an email saying they want to participate. I can get you the rules and more info. You can also go to Facebook.com/MTFFT

I will have a sign-up list for Spring Practice the week after Spring Break (March 23). Middle School Spring football will be May 4-8 & Varsity will be May 11-16, understand these dates may change due to rescheduled baseball or soccer games. For current students, Spring Practice is a REQUIREMENT to play in the fall! For those who may have conflicts with that week, please contact me so we can work it out. So it is very IMPORTANT to have them sign the sheet of paper or you can reply to this email and I'll add them to my list! By participating in Spring it does not lock them down but they need to at least try it out before deciding not to play. I would love to have a Spring game for both squads but as usual that will depend on numbers.

We will also be sending fliers home for Jr. Pro (3rd-5th grade) sign-ups soon. If you know of any boys that would be interested, pass that info along. This was an overwhelming success and has prepared the upcoming 6th graders in a big way!

I'm looking to have a meeting for all 3 teams sometime in April and I'll try to plan it on a day in between home baseball & soccer games to save you a trip.

We currently have 3 games for Middle School football. That is actually more than we had last year at this time. I believe we will pick-up 3-5 more games.

Finally I have included the newest workout calendar. On this calendar I've included the minimum workout for those of you have inquired about what can be done at home if your son doesn't have transportation or is involved with an in-season sport. If your son is available or is not in an in-season sport (baseball/soccer) the NEED to be with us. The strength and skills they gain in this program is invaluable! On that note, if the in-season team has a cancellation or does not have practice, your son is welcome to drop-in and workout. We will make sure to have the workout fit with what sport he is in.

Thanks for all you do! It is a great privilege to coach your boys!

54 days until Spring Football!!!!
