Follow up & Summer Information

Dear Parents,

I want to thank you first and foremost for allowing me the opportunity to coach your son over the last two weeks! Probably the best two weeks of Spring Practice we have had in my time here at RCA. Good numbers lead to some great practices and I think everyone had fun, I know that I did. The coaches and I were very excited about the possibilities and are looking forward to the commitment phase. I've already sent an email seeking the commitment of the middle school players last week so I'm asking for you to reply to this email confirming who is in to start workouts on (MAX) Tuesday May 26th. Just a few reminders about what their commitment entails:

There is a playing fee of $150 or you can sell a new sponsor sign to a business for $300 or renew a sponsor sign for $150 to cover that cost. These signs are displayed on the field fence throughout the season. I will get you the list of businesses that are already sponsoring so you can know where to and not to ask. July 28th is the deadline to turn in money and logo for new signs.

Each player must attend a minimum of 9 workouts out of 26 between May 26th and July 27th. These workouts will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7 PM. We will lift weights for half of the time and condition the other half. They will need tennis shoes and they may want to bring their own water or sports drink. This time is important in not only becoming a better athlete but injury prevention as well

Each player gets two weeks worth (6 workouts) of unexcused absences that they can use for whatever reason. Middle School players can add 3 unexcused absences and miss the workouts on the days of the Football Camp if they attend (registration forms for camp are in the office). 2nd year High School players can add 3 unexcused absences if they help counsel/work the Football Camp. The dates for the camp are June 29-July 2. NO EVENING WORKOUTS ON July 2nd! 

EXCUSED ABSENCES (no accountability reps) include athletic camps associated with a high school sport, church mission trip, workouts with other middle or high school RCA coach, emergency situation, death in the family, academic honor trips and any sickness with proper excuse.

There will be 4 accountability reps for any non-school, sports (participation) related activity, church camps or VBS

8 accountability reps for extra vacation days.

10 accountability reps for missing with no notice.

KNIGHT MONDAY: July 27th 5:30-7: MAX out to see growth & equipment distribution. Each player will start out with the goal to increase their MAX lifts by 7%.

July 28th we will kick off "Fall Camp" with practice from 5:30-8 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On August 6th we will begin practicing from 3-5:30 and this will be our normal time throughout the season.
