Due to our going 8 man in middle school the conference is allowing 9th graders to play a total of 6 quarters a week due to some schools need of players to make a JV/MS team. Technically we could play our 9th graders in every middle school game & varsity game as long as they don't exceed 6 quarters a week. I'd rather have our 9th graders fresh for the Varsity game so my plan is to not play them unless our opponent is playing 9th graders so our middle school guys have a level playing field. As of right now, we have two teams on our middle school schedule who are forced to play 2-3 freshmen to have a team (August 24th at FCA & September 24th at FCS). I am currently trying to get in contact with the other teams on our schedule to see if they will be playing 9th graders as well and as soon as I find out, I will let you know.
Unfortunately I was informed yesterday that our game scheduled with FCS on August 19th will not be happening. I'm currently in the process of finding out why & attempting to reschedule the game maybe later in the season or in the very least get them to come to us on September 24th! Once again I will keep you updated as the info comes along.
